- Unlike most rabbits, Marsh Rabbits sometimes submerge themselves completely underwater with only their noses exposed to avoid predators.
- Marsh Rabbits are excellent swimmers and will dive underwater to escape danger. They have a unique habit of walking on all fours, tucking their hind legs under their bodies, unlike other rabbits. Their dense fur helps repel water, making them well-suited for wetland life.
