- Unlike many reptiles, Mediterranean House Geckos thrive in human dwellings and are often more common in cities than in the wild.
- Mediterranean House Geckos can vocalize with a series of clicks and chirps, which is unusual among geckos. Their toe pads allow them to climb smooth vertical surfaces, even glass. They are often transported unintentionally by humans, aiding their spread worldwide.
