- The Mimic Octopus can choose which animal to mimic based on the type of predator it faces, tailoring its disguise for maximum survival.
- The Mimic Octopus can imitate at least 15 different marine species. It was only discovered by scientists in 1998, making it a relatively recent addition to marine biology. Unlike other octopuses, it often walks on two arms to enhance its impersonations.
