- Despite their bright and intimidating coloration, Mimic Poison Frogs are actually less toxic than many other poison frogs and rely on mimicry for protection rather than potent toxins.
- Mimic Poison Frogs are one of the few frog species that display biparental care, with both the male and female tending to their young. They are known for mimicking the warning coloration of other more toxic frogs to deter predators. Their skin toxins are derived from their diet in the wild, primarily consisting of ants and mites.
