Unlike many other fish, muskellunge can live in relatively low-oxygen waters, allowing them to thrive in environments where other predators might struggle.
Muskellunge are sometimes called the 'fish of 10,000 casts' due to their elusive nature. They can grow over 1.8 meters (6 feet) in length. Muskellunge have a highly specialized jaw structure that allows them to strike and swallow large prey whole.
