Did you know?
- Neon tetras are bioluminescent, meaning their colors appear to glow under certain lighting conditions, which is a form of camouflage in their native habitat.
- Neon tetras communicate using subtle body movements and color changes. Their shimmering colors help them blend into the dappled light of their natural river habitats. Despite their small size, neon tetras can travel considerable distances in the wild as part of large schools.
