- The Northern Bald Ibis is one of the few bird species known to migrate in a V-formation, a rare behavior among ibises.
- Northern Bald Ibises use their long bills to probe into soil for insects and small animals. They have a distinctive 'croop-croop' call, especially during breeding season. Ancient Egyptians revered them, often depicting them in hieroglyphs as a symbol of brilliance and guidance.
