Okapi
Okapia johnstoni

Did you know?
- Despite their zebra-like stripes, okapis are the only living relative of the giraffe and are not closely related to zebras at all.
- The okapi is the giraffe's closest living relative, despite the zebra-like stripes. Its tongue is long enough to clean its own eyes and ears. Okapi calves can go weeks without defecating, leaving no scent trail for predators. Western science did not formally describe the animal until 1901.
