- Pangolins are the most trafficked mammals in the world, with their scales and meat highly sought after in illegal wildlife trade.
- Pangolins have no teeth and rely on small stones in their stomachs to help digest their food. Their tongue can be longer than their body when fully extended. Pangolins are sometimes called 'scaly anteaters' due to their appearance and diet, though they are not closely related to true anteaters.
