- Paradoxical Frog tadpoles can reach lengths up to four times that of the adult frog before shrinking dramatically during metamorphosis.
- Paradoxical Frogs are named for their paradoxical life cycle, where their tadpoles are much larger than adults. They are excellent swimmers, using their powerful hind legs to escape predators. The species can also rapidly change color in response to environmental conditions.
