- Unlike many parrots, Rainbow Lorikeets do not eat seeds and instead rely primarily on nectar, making them vital pollinators in their ecosystems.
- Rainbow Lorikeets have a unique brush-tipped tongue that helps them gather nectar and pollen from flowers. They are capable of learning simple tricks and mimicking sounds, which makes them popular as pets. In some areas, their population has increased so much that they are considered a pest species.
