- A Red Kangaroo can survive for long periods without water by getting moisture from the plants it eats.
- Red Kangaroos can leap over 9 meters (30 feet) in a single bound and reach speeds of over 56 km/h (35 mph). They use their powerful tails as a fifth limb for balance and support. Female Red Kangaroos have the unique ability to pause embryo development, known as embryonic diapause, to time births optimally.
