Did you know?
- A Red Kangaroo can survive for long periods without water by getting moisture from the plants it eats.
- Red kangaroos can reach speeds of over 56 kilometers per hour (35 miles per hour), making them one of the fastest marsupials. Unlike many mammals, they are capable of pausing their pregnancies in a process called embryonic diapause, allowing them to delay birth until environmental conditions are favorable. Their tails, often overlooked, are a crucial fifth limb used for balance and support when hopping or standing upright. Contrary to popular belief, red kangaroos do not need to drink water daily, as they obtain necessary moisture from the plants they consume.
