Did you know?
- Despite their wild appearance, Red River Hogs can sometimes interbreed with other wild pig species, such as the bushpig, in areas where their ranges overlap.
- Red River Hogs are excellent swimmers and often wallow in mud to keep cool and protect themselves from parasites. Their long, tufted ears and facial warts are thought to play roles in both communication and defense. These hogs are known for their playful and curious behavior, especially when foraging.
