Did you know?
- Reeves's Pheasant is the only member of its genus that has been successfully introduced and established small feral populations outside its native range, including in England and France.
- Males of Reeves's Pheasant have some of the world's longest tail feathers relative to body size. They are named after John Reeves, a 19th-century British naturalist who introduced them to Europe. Their loud, whistling calls can be heard over long distances, especially during the breeding season.
