- Despite their massive size, Reticulated Pythons are agile swimmers and can travel between islands in their native range.
- Reticulated Pythons can reach lengths over 6 meters, with some individuals exceeding 7 meters. Their name comes from the intricate 'reticulated' net-like pattern on their scales, which provides excellent camouflage. They are one of the few snakes known to occasionally prey on animals as large as deer or pigs.
