- Unlike many lizards, rhinoceros iguanas can live harmoniously in small groups, especially when raised together from a young age.
- Rhinoceros iguanas get their name from the horn-like structures on their snouts, which are more pronounced in males. They bask for hours in the sun to regulate their body temperature. These iguanas can communicate using head bobs and body movements.
