- When threatened, Rose Hair Tarantulas may rear up and display their fangs, but they rarely bite and their venom is mild to humans.
- Rose Hair Tarantulas can flick urticating hairs from their abdomen as a defense mechanism. Females live much longer than males, sometimes exceeding 20 years in captivity. Despite their name, not all individuals have a distinctly rose-colored hue.
