- Unlike many other leafhoppers, the Saddled Leafhopper's nymphs and adults look remarkably different, undergoing a noticeable transformation as they mature.
- Saddled Leafhoppers communicate with each other using vibrations transmitted through plant stems. Their unique 'saddle' marking is actually a raised, horn-like pronotum, giving them a distinctive profile. They can jump up to 40 times their body length to escape threats.
