- Immature male Satin Bowerbirds resemble females in appearance and do not attain their vivid adult plumage until around seven years of age.
- Male Satin Bowerbirds meticulously collect and arrange blue objects, such as berries, feathers, and even plastic items, to decorate their bowers. These birds are known to mimic the calls of other bird species and even artificial sounds. Females choose their mates based on the quality of both the bower and the courtship display.
