- Sea spiders are found in all the world's oceans, including the frigid waters of Antarctica, where some reach extraordinary sizes due to polar gigantism.
- Sea spiders breathe through diffusion, lacking specialized respiratory organs. Some species have males that carry fertilized eggs on their legs until they hatch. Their bodies are so reduced that their digestive and reproductive organs often extend into their legs.
