Did you know?
- The word 'sifaka' comes from the animal's distinctive 'shi-fak' alarm call.
- Sifakas move through the trees with extraordinary, acrobatic leaps of up to 10 meters. On the ground, they cannot run or walk on all fours, so they travel with unique sideways hops. Their long tails help them maintain balance during these impressive jumps.
