Did you know?
- Sitatungas can rotate their hooves sideways, a unique adaptation that helps them maneuver through thick reeds and deep mud.
- Sitatungas are excellent swimmers and can even submerge themselves almost entirely to avoid predators. Their hooves spread widely to help them walk on soft, muddy ground without sinking. Unlike most antelopes, they are often active during both day and night.
