- Despite their endearing appearance, slender lorises secrete a substance from their elbows that can cause irritation or allergic reactions in predators.
- Slender lorises have a toxic bite, one of the few primates with this adaptation. They communicate using a variety of vocalizations and scent markings. Their slow movements make them excellent ambush predators of insects and small vertebrates.
