- Snow leopards are sometimes called the 'ghosts of the mountains' because of their elusive nature and excellent camouflage.
- Snow leopards can leap up to 15 meters (almost 50 feet) in a single bound. Their fur-covered feet act like natural snowshoes, allowing them to walk silently on snow. Unlike other big cats, snow leopards cannot roar.
