Did you know?
- Coatis have double-jointed ankles that can rotate beyond 180 degrees, enabling them to descend trees headfirst.
- Coatis use their long, flexible noses to sniff out insects hidden under logs and leaf litter. They are excellent climbers and often sleep in trees for safety. Unlike most other members of the raccoon family, coatis are active during the day.
