Southern Leopard Frogs can travel long distances over land to find new breeding sites or escape drying habitats.
Southern Leopard Frogs are excellent jumpers and can leap several times their body length to escape threats. Unlike many frogs, they remain active both day and night. Their tadpoles develop quickly, allowing them to exploit temporary water bodies.
