Did you know?
- Unlike most mammals, female Spotted Hyenas have external genitalia that closely resemble those of males, making the sexes difficult to distinguish.
- Spotted Hyenas have the most powerful jaws in relation to their size of any mammal, capable of crushing bones. Their vocalizations include the famous 'laugh,' used for communication within the clan. Female Spotted Hyenas are larger and more dominant than males.
