- Superb Fairywrens have been observed presenting flower petals to females as part of their courtship behavior.
- Male Superb Fairywrens molt into a brilliant blue plumage during the breeding season and revert to brown in the non-breeding season. These birds often engage in 'social monogamy' but are genetically promiscuous, with many offspring fathered by males outside the group. Fairywrens are also known to teach their chicks unique 'password' calls while still in the egg.
