- Thorny Devils have a unique way of drinking: they collect water through their skin grooves, channeling it directly to their mouths by capillary action.
- Thorny Devils can change color to blend in with their surroundings, ranging from pale yellows and browns to deep reds. Their 'false head' on the back of the neck confuses predators. They can also absorb water through their skin from rain and dew.
