Did you know?
- Timber Rattlesnakes can deliver a 'dry bite,' injecting little or no venom, as a warning to potential threats.
- A timber rattlesnake may spend several days coiled in a single ambush spot, and it chooses the log by tongue-flicking it for the scent of passing mice. Females may not breed until they are ten years old and then only once every three to five years, so a population recovers from losses extraordinarily slowly.
