- The Wandering Glider holds the record for the longest known migration of any insect, traveling distances up to 18,000 kilometers.
- Wandering Gliders are capable of flying thousands of kilometers during their migrations, sometimes crossing the Indian Ocean. They are one of the highest-flying insects and can be found at altitudes over 6,000 meters. Their larvae can develop rapidly, allowing them to take advantage of temporary water sources.
