- Warty Sea Cucumbers breathe through their anus, using a unique respiratory tree structure to extract oxygen from the water.
- Warty Sea Cucumbers eject sticky threads, called Cuvierian tubules, as a defense mechanism against predators. Despite their unassuming appearance, they are closely related to sea stars and sea urchins. Their ability to expel internal organs and later regenerate them is a remarkable adaptation.
