- Despite their small size, Yellow-bellied Toads can live up to 15 years in the wild, which is unusually long for such tiny amphibians.
- Yellow-bellied Toads secrete toxins from their skin to deter predators. They can regrow lost limbs and skin injuries exceptionally well. Their unique 'unkenreflex' posture is one of the most dramatic anti-predator displays among amphibians.
