- Unlike many mongoose species, the Yellow Mongoose is primarily diurnal and is rarely active at night.
- Yellow Mongooses are known for their mutualistic relationship with meerkats and ground squirrels, often sharing burrow systems with them. They communicate through a range of vocalizations, tail movements, and scent marking. During breeding season, males may travel long distances in search of mates.
